I am sorry to announce that this week will be the last edition of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly that I will write. I appreciate everyone who has read and commented on these posts in the past. You are all very important to me, and I am very happy to have been able to provide a little humor to your week. The fact of the matter is that this post is a lot of work, even though I pretty much just rip off other publications in putting it together. Added to this, I have really started to feel like my torrid pace of two posts a week is just too much for me.
Thanks again for reading, and I hope that you enjoy this swan song edition.
Over the last several months, I have regularly found something great for this post in the content being produced by the people at VinTank. Sometimes it’s just great quality content, and sometimes it’s just damn funny. This week I have one of each kind of thing from our Napa online marketing mogul friends.
The first item is the announcement that VinTank has purchased Cruvee, and will be offering the fantastic wine social media monitoring service at no cost. this is great news, and I hope that a lot of wineries will take advantage of this opportunity.
The second item is in honor of April Fools day, and is something to get a chuckle out of.
I stand in solidarity with my brother (in the wine blogging fraternity) Ed Thralls. He posted this week about his consternation at hearing rawkus wine events compared to frat parties. Okay, so every experience I’ve had with frat parties has indicated that the comparison is not invalid, but I still stand in solidarity with Ed. Leave these poor frat boys alone. I am, for now and all eternity, going to call any out of control events and parties that I encounter as being like “Barrel Tasting Weekend”. So let it be written, so let it be done.
Cheers!

Thx so much for letting us make the good list. Been a crazy week but we are having insane fun w/ our job. You rock brother and you actually had me fooled about you stopping my favorite weekly roundup of the industry. So glad you punk’d me instead. Speaking of punk’d – hmmnnn, perhaps we should start a wine industry punk’d series . . .
That would be awesome! Could be all kinds of fun.
You guys are doing some awesome work, and I’m happy to spread the word. Love the news about Cruvee, and I’m excited to see what the future has in store.
