Finally, I have returned to this series. Many apologies for letting The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly wither on the vine, so to speak, over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully my absolutely crazy schedule has settled in for a bit, and I’ll be able to keep things running on schedule.

The Good

My natural wine lovin’ buddy Hardy Wallace had a birthday this week (Happy Birthday Hardy!), and for his birthday he unveiled the biggest thing to hit wine country since, well, wine. That’s right, it’s Cornhole! I got a little preview of this while I was in Sonoma last week. It is freaking awesome.

The Bad

Eyebrow So is it cheating to link to a post that aggrogates booze new on a post that aggrogates booze news? Since when do I really care about the “rules” anyway?

This week’s bad is taken from the Suburban Wino blog. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am all for people drinking, but when the government starts encouraging people to drink and smoke more, you kind of have to raise an eyebrow, Rock-style. Joe shares a story that I heard over the last week about the Russian Finance Minister “pleading with the nation’s citizens to drink more and smoke more.”

BTW, love the logo for the Booze in the News feature this week.

The Ugly

Tamara Belgard has put together a fun weekly series of images that she posts for Wordless Wine Wednesday. This week she posted a great example of a poorly thought out branding effort. Enjoy.
